What is Frozen Food Week?

This will be an awareness week, 5th September - 11th September, run by the British Frozen Food Federation to showcase the important role Frozen Food can play in reducing the 4.5 million tonnes of edible food thrown away each year, and ultimately save consumers money.

How is the Frozen Food Week being promoted??

The British Frozen Food Federation are asking companies to download the below asset pack which includes all the Frozen Food Week logos and communication plan. Once the asset pack's downloaded, companies can use the Frozen Food Week logos in their own marketing materials/channels, supporting the Frozen Food Week.

What is the plan?

The Frozen Food Week is primarily a social media focused campaign and will feature a particular Frozen category on each day:

Monday: No meat/Plant-based
The category of innovation and inspiration, consumers can discover their favourite meat alternatives and plant-based substitutes down the freezer aisle.
Tuesday: Frozen veg
Consumers will discover how sustainable the frozen veg supply chain from the farming and the processing to the distribution.
Wednesday: Frozen fruit
Out of season sensations. Frozen is natures pause button which allows consumers to have their favourite fruits throughout the year.
Thursday: Frozen savoury
Start every day the right way with the delights of a bakery in your freezer.
Friday: Frozen fish
Don’t compromise on fish Friday. Frozen fish and seafood is 25% less expensive than fresh* and conveniently portioned to help reduce household waste.
Saturday: Ice Cream
Sweet treat production lines and recipes which reduce food waste.
Sunday: The Frozen Community
Share influencer accounts and websites for frozen food inspiration and ways to reduce household food waste.

How can I get involved?

If you are a company in the Frozen Food Industry, use the Frozen Food Week to showcase your latest products involving the Frozen Food Week logos. It is important for the week that your message is based around reducing food waste and ultimately helping consumers save money, and the communications plan in the asset pack has valuable food waste stats to support you.

If you are a consumer, use the Frozen Food Week to share recipes or food hacks involving frozen food with your followers. You can download the asset pack and use the logos as a watermark for your social posts, to show you are supporting the Frozen Food Week.
