
Albert Bartlett Crispy Chips & Home Made Chip Shop Curry Sauce
What's not to love about curry sauce and chips? Ideal for all the family without having to go to the chippy!
Ingredients
- 600 g frozen Albert Bartlett Rooster Homestyle chips
For the home made chip shop curry sauce
- 160 g frozen white onion
- 100 g sliced frozen apple
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 150 ml vegetable stock
- 5 g frozen garlic
- rapeseed oil
Method
- Place the Albert Bartlett chips into a hot oven and bake until golden and crisp, season with a little salt.
For the home made chip shop curry sauce
- Peel and cut the onions in half, finely dice.
- Cut the sliced apple into sticks and then dice.
- Add a little rapeseed oil to a saucepan and add the onion and garlic, sweat off for 2 minutes.
- Add the diced apple along with the curry powder, cook out the spice for 2-5 minutes.
- Add the flour and stir through the onions, garlic and apple.
- Add a little of the vegetable stock and stir into the flour mixture.
- Add the remaining stock and bring to the boil.
- Bring to the boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Place the sauce into a food processer and blitz.
To serve
- Serve the chip shop curry sauce in a large dip pot or drizzled all over the chips!
